One of the first iconic structures built in the state of RAK in the year 1970,  this colossal development has witnessed the historic formation of the federation of the UAE, the country itself.

 

Branded a ‘Hilton’ in 2001, in 2015, after 15 successful years of operation, the client and the operator unanimously agreed to a refurbishment of the property.

 

Both parties subsequently realised that market conditions were calling for a rethink in strategy and that meant a rebrand.

 

Thus Design Work Portfolio was appointed to take over the challenging  task of re branding an upscale luxury Hilton into a mid segment HGI.

 

The Public Area floor plate being almost  four times the expected size of a typical HGI, the design team had to ensure that  the interior look and feel justifies the volume subsequently delivering the comfort synonymous to an HGI.

 

240 keys including 8 suites, 4 F & B outlets, a state of the art fitness centre, pool deck make up the space programme of this hotel.
